Brewed with Floor Malted Bohemian Dark malt, Caramel malts and De-Bittered Black malt for moderate roasty notes of coffee and dark chocolate with ample bready undertones. A generous amount of Czech Saaz were layered into the two hour boil, giving sharp spicy/floral notes that both compliment and amplify the malt characteristics.

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover: this dark lager is deceptively smooth and drinkable. Full of malty bready notes with only the slightest hint of roast. German Munich and Melanoidin malts provide the rich malty base. Dark malt extract darkens the color but leaves the beer smooth and quaffable.
